Short Biography

Prof. Hongmei Yu is the leader of high efficiency electrolysis team, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, deputy general secretary of National Technical Committee 342 on Fuel Cell and Flow Battery of Standardization Administration of China, fuel cell standard expert in IEC TC105.

She started research in the field of fuel cell in 1991, at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. She was invited as Visiting Professor of Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems from 2003 to 2004. She worked as Senior Scientist in Pennsylvania State University in 2010. Her research interests include Membrane Electrode Assembly, interface phenomena in fuel cells and water electrolysis, subzero startup of PEMFCs, photo-electrochemical cell and Alkaline Exchange Membrane fuel cell. She authored more than 90 publications in peer-reviewed journals and more than 110 patents.
