Short Biography

Dr. Xiao started his professional career at CFD Research Corp. as an R&D engineer in 2000. As key developer he developed features for commercial software ACE+, including Flow and Heat transfer, Turbulence models, VOF, Two-phase flow in PEMFC, and Spray particle tracking. He joined EM team of Ansoft Inc. in 2007 and has been working on computational electromagnetics since then.

Dr Xiao received his PhD from Northwestern Polytechnical University in Aerospace Engineering in 1997. And he received his second PhD from University of Wisconsin in Mechanical Engineering in 2001. His expertise is in numerical modeling in electrical and magnetic fields, flow and heat transfer, noise and vibration in electrical machines, air foil bearings.
